Arthroscopic Surgeries / Ligament Injuries

Ligament Injuries often occur due to sports activities or trauma, leading to instability and pain in the affected joint. Arthroscopic Surgeries are minimally invasive procedures used to diagnose and repair ligament damage. Through small incisions, a camera and specialized instruments are inserted, allowing the surgeon to visualize and treat the injury with precision, resulting in faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.

04

Fractures and Trauma Injuries

Certainly! A bone fracture occurs when there’s a break in the continuity of a bone. These fractures can happen due to various reasons:

  1. Trauma: Falls, car accidents, or sports injuries are common causes of fractures.
  2. Repetitive Forces: Activities like running can increase the risk of certain fractures.
  3. Medical Conditions: Some conditions weaken bones, making fractures more likely.
  4. Types of Fractures: Fractures are classified based on their pattern, cause, and location in the body.

Remember, if you experience trauma and have pain near a bone, seek medical attention promptly. Whether it’s a fracture or another injury, early evaluation is crucial.

05

Shoulder Arthroscopy Surgery

During shoulder arthroscopy, your surgeon makes tiny incisions and inserts a small camera called an arthroscope. This camera provides images of your shoulder joint on a video screen. If needed, miniature surgical instruments are used to repair the shoulder.

Trigger Finger Release

Certainly! Trigger finger release surgery is a procedure to alleviate pain and improve finger movement in cases of stenosing tenosynovitis, commonly known as trigger finger. Here’s a concise overview:

  1. Before Surgery:

    • If your finger is locked in a closed position, you may need exercises, splints, or physical therapy to unlock it before surgery.
    • On the day of surgery, a health care professional will mark the correct finger and prepare it for the procedure.
    • Local anesthesia or, in special cases, general anesthesia may be used.
    • The surgeon will focus on the A1 pulley, which is often the cause of trigger finger.
  2. During Surgery:

    • The goal is to release the A1 pulley at the base of your finger tendon, allowing smoother movement.
    • The surgeon will make a small incision in your palm to cut the pulley free.
    • Once released, your finger’s mobility will be tested.
  3. After Surgery:

    • Your finger should become easier to move almost immediately.
    • Use your finger gradually, starting with lighter movements.
    • Anti-inflammatory drugs and elevation (using a sling) help manage swelling.
